Supplier Business Management

Supplier Business Management (SBM) Workshop (buyer side relationship management)

The reverse side of sales training, is buyer training. As a buyer of services, your organisation should be well versed in prospecting for suppliers and also relationship management of suppliers. If you are in-sourcing or out-sourcing services in your organisation you will have people managing those relationships either directly or in-indirectly. According to research by Gartner a typical sourcing agreement requires the investment of 3-7% (of the sourcing contract value) in relationship management. SMB relationship managers should be able to clearly articulate the Goals, Strategies and Initiatives of their organisation and or area of expertise and be able to explain this to current and potential suppliers. This then enables suppliers to relate to your organisation with content specific to how they are able to provide value to your organisation.

The training takes participants through a relationship management lifecycle through learning and participation in hands on activities involving their own real life situations to be managed.

Please note the SMB workshop works specifically on relationship management in a Business to Business (B2B) environment in both in-sourced and out-sourced situations.
